Artplayer.tv is a video platform which gives arts organisation a channel and a community with which to share their content.
Error was commissioned by Foundation for Art and Creative Technology to rebrand and redesign the Arts Council funded venture, to differentiate it and give it some graphic kick.
The site is made up of arts organisation channels such as the Liverpool Biennial, Manchester Cornerhouse and the Hayward Gallery.
Ultimately, the content of these channels will drive footfall into the physical destinations while encouraging creators to push content online that goes beyond the traditional content available in venues.
With little time, we conducted a review of the current landscape and how we could ensure that the website would fit into the digital lives of an arts audience. It also involved an investigation into the identity as an extensible system for digital marketing and social networks.
As with all our projects, we make sure user experience and research is an important part of the project. This ensures that what the client wants is tested against what a user really needs – it’s fascinating how rarely these things align.
